or visit the Entry Office (located in the Mercantile Building) during their normal hours.

Please note the entry form deadline on each department schedule. You are still able to enter on exhibit delivery day without pre-entering but be aware that it will take longer to process your entries.

When to pick up your exhibits:

The fair will officially close on Saturday, August 4. Superintendents will then have a short time to dismantle their departments and exhibits will be released on Sunday, August 5. Exhibitors will be allowed to drive onto the fairgrounds at that time. Departments that still have exhibits to be claimed will reopen on Monday between the hours of 10am-4pm for entry pickup. After 4pm, all unclaimed exhibits will be taken to the entry office. Entry office hours are 9am -5pm.

How to make your exhibit fair-ready:

Entering an exhibit in the fair is a timed honored traditional way of displaying your unique and special creations.  When you decide to join the fair experience, your work is judged in direct competition with other items in the same class. Winners may receive trophies, rosettes and ribbons as well as premiums and prize money.

In order to ensure that your entry has the best advantage to compete favorably with its counterparts, keep the following suggestions in mind:

  1. Be sure to read the rules and requirements of the department you are entering. Closely follow any specific guidelines that are outlined. Many times judging criteria is included.
  2. All fair entries need to be clean and free from detractions such as pet hair, stains, or loose threads.
  3. Loose or broken parts are not acceptable.
  4. In many cases entries that have strong odors such as smoke will be disqualified.
